The formalities of deep winter.

The post-holiday season for independent professional musicians is often dubbed “the slow season.” Oratorios, Christmas parties, holiday festivals, and student winter recitals are all a thing of the past. In a way, this is a “slow season” – it’s often a planning time with ensemble/professional goals for the coming year, and a way to rejuvenate from the chaos that previously ensued… But these last few years, without fail, January has brought fantastic private clients with music needs for some very, very special events. And there’s something fantastically-fancy-feeling about getting dressed up for a night of music in the dead of winter. Cheers to you! You know who you are. We loved the chance to break out of the cold with the sounds of some of our favorite composers.
